In 2024 AI moved from the model layer into the operations room. We put AIOps into production — AI watching the platform, surfacing anomalies and helping engineers act before a problem becomes an incident — and we brought AI into the way we build software ourselves, through our own productised tooling.
This wasn't AI bolted on for the brochure. It was AI applied to the parts of the job where reliability matters most: keeping platforms healthy and keeping code honest.
The industry spent 2024 discovering that AI can ship code faster and also ship more bugs. Our position was the opposite of hype: AI does the work, and we keep it accountable. Every place AI entered the workflow, the next step was a control — adversarial review, tests, audit trails — the same habits we'd been building since machine learning first went into production in 2017.
That's the whole point of "serious engineering" in an AI age: not slower, not louder, but accountable. AI accelerates the work without quietly lowering the bar.
Three internal tools came out of this work — MTK, Warp and Beacon — built by the same teams shipping client platforms, then turned into repeatable products. They encode our way of working: specification first, tests second, AI-generated code third, with review built in rather than bolted on. Because they came from production engagements rather than a lab, they're battle-tested by default.
2024 is the bridge between our engineering history and our platform partnerships. The discipline we proved in our own operations room is what stands behind the Microsoft Solutions Partner designation in 2025 and the Databricks partnership and business-MCP work in 2026. AI is now part of how we run everything — held to the standards that earned us our clients in the first place.
